1) This tin was originally made in 1937 for the King's Coronation. Do you think souvenir items like this were popular to buy?
2) Queen Elizabeth is pictured on the tin with her sister when she was just a young Princess. Can you tell which one out of the two she is?
3) We have re-used this tin to put bandages in. Why do you think the 'Shell Dressing' was so big?

1) This tin was originally made in 1937 for the King's Coronation. Do you think souvenir items like this were popular to buy?
ANSWER: Yes, they were, The country was very patriotic at the time, which means that many people looked up to and respected the Royal Family.
2) Queen Elizabeth is pictured on the tin with her sister when she was just a young Princess. Can you tell which one out of the two she is?
ANSWER: She is the taller girl on the King's left (the other girl is her sister, Princess Margaret).
3) We have re-used this tin to put bandages in. Why do you think the 'Shell Dressing' was so big?
ANSWER: The injuries could be quite bad in Air Raids so the bandage was large to deal with these.
